The '''Sukats''' are an ancient people residing in [[Northern Meran]], in what is now [[Afarut]], [[Gosaria]], [[Imendia]], [[Nykal]], [[Qym]], and [[Tamodia]]. 

Having been involved in numerous wars against or with the [[Ottelians]] (and even, during periods of unrest, with one Ottelian faction against another), they played a significant role in the rapid [[fall of the Ottelian Empire]] in {{abbr|395 CE|328 CE (Earth Year Equivalent)}}, in the midst of the [[Great Meranian War]]. 

The origins of the Sukats are poorly understood and debated. By the 2nd century, as a single people, they were present in the regions of present-day [[Afarut]], [[Nykal]], [[Qym|Western Qym]] and [[Holaria|Eastern Holaria]]. [[Ottelia]]n authors considered them to be barbarians with primitive customs because of their rustic way of life and their villages without walls.
