==Book of Life narrative==
The opening chapters of the Book of Life describe the gods [[Sunne (god)|Sunne]] and [[Mōna (goddess)|Mōna]] as consorts. Together, they created life on [[Basis]], the mortal world. The Book of Life asserts that Sunne – representing masculinity – and Mōna – representing femininity – are opposite but complementary forces. Mōna, represented in black, evokes, among other things, nighttime, darkness, autumn, winter, coolness, receptivity, etc. Sunne, on the other hand represented in yellow, evokes, among other things, daytime, brightness, spring, summer, heat, dynamism, action, etc. The Book of Life asserts that people need both masculinity and femininity in their life to become balanced individuals worthy of life.
