Geno–Qym relations

Relations between Geno and Qym have been historically tense and hostile. The two countries have no formal diplomatic relations. Under Qymish government sanctions, Qymish citizens are prohibited from entering Geno and Genonian citizens are prohibited from entering Qym, while Qym has fully sanctioned Geno since the 24th century. The source of the hostilities dates back to the Transhumanist Revolution and the establishment of the Transhumanist Republic of Geno, which resulted in various human rights abuses and the establishment of chemical and biological weapon programs. While Geno has made overtures to de-escalate tensions over the last century, Qym has rejected any contact and officially considers Geno a pariah state and an "enemy of humanity".
