Qymish language

Qymish is a North Sukatic language of the Meranian language family. It is the native language of the Qymish people. Standard Qymish is the official language of Qym.

The majority of Qymish words derive from the Sukat language or were constructed from Ottelian or Byrakan roots.

Numerals

The Qymish numeral system strictly uses decimal counting. It has unique names for numbers from 0 to 10, after which numbers are counted by their base 10 as additions or multiplications. It also has unique names for hundred, thousand, million, billion, and so on. For example, 18 is written as "ten-eight", while 118 is written as "hundred-ten-eight", and 1118 as "thousand-hundred-ten-eight". A more complex number, for instance 9735, would be written as "nine-thousand-seven-hundred-three-ten-five".

When using the Sukatic script to write numbers, an interpunct or middle dot is used between characters to differentiate them from normal letters, for example ·Ⰰ· for "1" and ·Ⰺ·Ⰰ· for "11".
