The Lach (Qymish: Ⰾⰰⱍ; symbol: Ⱎ; abbreviation: QYL) is the official currency of Qym. It is the second most used reserve currency after the Methelorian seng, representing 18.2% of global reserves in 2440.
Following the Boreal War, the lach lost much of its pre-war value as Qym lacked financial capital for post-war reconstruction and was indebted to Methelor. Under the Gold Exchange Treaty System, the lach was pegged to the Methelorian seng alongside other major currencies. After this system was abandoned in 2373, the lach has been a floating currency.
The lach is issued by the Royal Bank of Qym, the country's central, commercial and investment bank controlled by the royal House of Zhifol.
