Qymish people
The Qymish people, or simply Qymish, are the largest Qymic ethnic group native to Qym. Worldwide, approximately 200 million people are of Qymish descent, making them one of the largest ethnic groups. Qymish people represent 87.7% of the population in Qym, TBD% of the population in NEIGHBOR and TBD% of the population in NEIGHBOR.
Qymish people are considered to be the descendants of the ancient Byrakans and other tribes that inhabited the Qymish territories during the late antiquity period.
Exonyms
The Qymish endonym qymen is derived from the Byrakan word Qiim giving the name to Qym, meaning "land of squirrels". Due to the lack of Q or Y sounds in many languages, various exonyms were created to refer to Qym and its people.
