Qymish nationalism (Qymish: TBD, TBD) is a nationalism which asserts that the Qymish people are a nation and which affirms the cultural unity of the Qymish people. From a Qymish nationalist perspective, Qymishness is defined as claiming cultural and ethnic descent from two historic peoples, the Byrakans and the Sukats. While the Ottelians have had considerable influence and have historically occupied the lands of modern-day Qym, after the Byrakan Wars, they usually are excluded from Qymish nationalist discourses. This is due to the association of the Ottelians with NEIGHBORING RIVAL COUNTRY, while Qymish statesmen wanted to distance themselves from the enemy.
