List of countries on Basis by roleplay status

This is a list of countries on Basis by roleplay status.

Objectives

Note: These objectives are subject to change and up for discussion.

• Basis should have a maximum of 100 countries, otherwise it is too much to handle.
• Basis should not have any superpower and instead have a dozen or so great powers, roughly 3-4 per continent (there are 4 continents).
• To avoid having superpowers, no great power should have a GDP (PPP) exceeding $10 trillion. As an example, you could make a country with 940 million people and a GDP (PPP) per capita equivalent to India's if you wished to (larger pop, lower GDPpc) or do the opposite (smaller pop, higher GDPpc) with say 104 million people and a GDP (PPP) per capita equivalent to Norway's as an upper limit.

List

Note: a Placeholder country is a concept of an important sovereign state with regard to Basis history and may be taken over by interested roleplayers as a primary or secondary country to roleplay. NPCs can also be taken over and upgraded to more important countries or great powers. This list is by no means a limiter and everything can be changed. A country deemed important to Basis history means it has a significant role in a major planetary event, such as a global conflict like the Boreal War for example.
