Qym and weapons of mass destruction

Qym has possessed nuclear weapons since 2356. It was the second country on Basis to develop them after Astamon. Qym signed and ratified the Patsalys Protocols prohibiting the development, production, and stockpiling of chemical and biological weapons in 2344, which entered into force in 2349.

Qym tested its first nuclear bomb in 2356 and the largest nuclear weapon ever detonated with a yield of 50 Mt in 2373. It carried out 328 nuclear tests before signing the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Tests in 2402.

Chemical weapons

Most belligerents of the Boreal War used chemical weapons.

Biological weapons

Holaria's use of biological weapons in the Boreal War is estimated to have killed between 100,000 and 300,000 people, mainly in Qym and Tamodia.
