Sluj

Sluj (Sukatic script: Ⱄⰾⱆⱜ) was a deified heroic man in Scildism and one of the Corens. He is generally considered the first hero of the Byrakans and of Scildism itself, although the latter attribute is disputed. Sluj is the protagonist of the SOME STORY, an epic poem written in Ottelian by AUTHOR in the 11th century BCE. He was the legendary king of the BYRAKAN TRIBE, a Byrakan tribe, who tried to unite the tribes along the Foldava against the OTHER CIV. The Byrakans – and particularly Sluj – are portrayed in a good light, a rare occurrence in Ottelian literature, likely due to Ottelian conflicts with OTHER CIV during AUTHOR's life.

Sluj is considered a rallying figure of the Qymish nation, particularly from the 21st century onwards, when the definition of Qymish nationalism was the subject of much debate.
