Foldava

The Foldava (Qymish: Ⱇⱁⰾⰴⰰⰲⰰ) is a major river in Northern Meran. It is the longest river wholly within Qym and second longest at least partially in the country after the Tamot.

The Foldava rises at MOUNTAIN in the northwest of Qym, ELEVATION meters above sea level in the MOUNTAIN RANGE. It then flows southeast across Qym to the OCEAN with its mouth in the County of Nagur.

The river has many associations with Qymish culture, history and national identity. It is Qym's most important waterway and natural symbol, flowing through its three main cities (Nagur, Patsalys and Zhol). Control of the Foldava's drainage basin has been a key geopolitical objective of Qym and the polities that preceded it. The Foldava River basin was the birthplace of the Byrakan civilization.
