Meran is the birthplace of two significant religions still practiced in modern times: Auserism and Scildism. Many other religions are practiced, notably Sunneism, Manigism, and Ānism.

Meranian religions

Scildism

260 million people, representing almost half of Meranians, practice Scildism, particularly in Northern and Eastern Meran. 56.56% of all Scildists in Meran live in Qym, which is by far the largest Scildist country in the continent and on Basis. Originating in Byrak (Northern Meran) through oral tradition, but spread through Ottelia (modern-day Prugundy) and Southern Meran through the writings of the poet Mylas and others, Scildism played an important part in the shaping of Meranian civilization since at least the 11th century BCE.

Scildist Meran is generally understood to comprise the countries north and east of Prugundy, while Auserist Meran comprises the countries north and west of Thyon, dividing the continent into two major regions of religious influence. Interactions and syncretism with Auserism have therefore been significant.

Scildists make up 90.7% of the population in Qym, 82.8% in Imendia, 75.3% in Gosaria, 67.1% in Bermiza, 61.7% in Kolucherry, 61.4% in Tamodia, 58.3% in Afarut, 56.5% in Mandine, 52.9% in Prugundy, 47.1% in Nykal, and 32.4% in Ranopa.

Auserism

Auserism (name?) is the most important religion in Western and Southern Meran. There are also significant minorities in Afarut, Nykal, Prugundy, Ranopa, and Tamodia.

Auserists make up 90.7% of the population in Holaria, 72.6% in Chiyan, 70.5% in Vuhand, 59.7% in Jamasko, 53.6% in Levina, 51.5% in Thyon, 36.7% in Nykal, 25.2% in Tamodia, 16.6% in Afarut, and 15.1% in Mandine.

Foreign religions

Sunneism

Sunneism is the third largest religion in Meran by number of practitioners, with around 25.2 million or 4.6% of the continent's population.

Manigism

Manigism is the fourth largest religion in Meran by number of practitioners, with around 11.4 million or 2.1% of the continent's population.

Ānism

Ānism is the fifth largest religion in Meran by number of practitioners, with around 9 million or 1.6% of the continent's population.

Irreligion

Irreligion is a significant phenomenon in Meran. 79.2 million people consider themselves irreligious, representing 14.5% of the continent's population.

Religious distribution

Note to Willem, modify whatever you want here, I just put numbers for Thyon to see what a total would look like
