Occupation of Holaria

Holaria was occupied and administered by the Nagur Pact from the surrender of Holaria on DAY MONTH 2340, at the end of the Boreal War until the Treaty of Polamdi took effect on DAY MONTH 2352.

In the immediate aftermath of the Boreal War, Holaria was divided into two occupation zones and jointly occupied by Qym and Thyon.

Occupation policy

Nagur Pact aims regarding postwar Holaria were laid out at the Usuf Conference, where Bacha XVI and THYONESE WAR LEADER signed an agreement. They agreed that Holaria should not be able to cause further wars against either Thyon, Qym, or Tamodia, but their opinion on how to achieve that differed. Bacha XVI had proposed installing a diarchy, with two monarchs from the Qymish House of Zhifol and the Thyonese House of Ga, under which a constitutional system modeled on Thyon's would replace the Holarian imperial government.

Qymish occupation policy

A key Qymish consideration was the reduction of ethnic tensions among its neighbors and as such sought to eliminate Holarian irredentism by stripping Holaria of important minority territories. As such, Bacha XVI quickly granted independence, from within the Qymish occupation zone, to Afarut and Nykal. Reparations and economic considerations were also important, notably the use of forced Holarian labor and factories for Qym and Tamodia's reconstruction. As such, Qymish occupation policy was highly focused on logistics and making sure addressing shortages of housing and food was the priority. Fraternization was encouraged in order to lower the risk of insurgency and increase the morale of the forced laborers. It was also a powerful propaganda tool to realign the views of Holarian civilians into favoring Qym.
