Rumykian people

The Rumykian people, or simply Rumykians, are a Sukatic ethnic group from Northern Meran. They are indigenous to Rumyk, a geographic region spanning southwestern Qym, eastern Tamodia and northern Thyon. Comprising around 15 million people, the vast majority of Rumykians live in Rumyk, but significant communities of the Rumykian diaspora live throughout Meran and elsewhere on Basis.
The Rumykian language, a South Sukatic language closely related to Tamodian, is the native language of the Rumykians.
Rumykian nationalism, with the aspiration of forming a unified state in Rumyk, has been the source of significant ethnic, religious and political tension in Meran. The Rumykian conflict, which lasted from 2377 to 2407, was primarily caused by these tensions and national aspirations.
