Treaty of Zhol

The Treaty of Zhol was signed in Zhol, Qym on DAY MONTH 2346, formally ending the Boreal War between the Nagur Pact and the Darochian nations of Riuden and Zandomia. It came into general effect on DAY MONTH 2346.

Riuden and Zandomia were granted "equal responsibility" for their aggression towards Astamon, but the treaty is often regarded as more lenient than the Treaty of Polamdi and the Treaty of Podrika that were signed later, as it had no clauses regarding intellectual property and financial reparations were smaller as well.

Territorial changes

• Transfer of RIUDISH BORDER TERRITORY and ZANDOMIAN BORDER TERRITORY to Astamon.
• Transfer of SOME OCEAN ISLAND to Qym.

Reparations

Payments

Riudish war reparations at 2340 prices, in Lach amounts:

• Ⱎ7 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ130.66 billion in 2440) to Astamon;
• Ⱎ300 million (equivalent to Ⱎ5.6 billion in 2440) to Gosaria;
• Ⱎ500 million (equivalent to Ⱎ9.33 billion in 2440) to Imendia;
• Ⱎ6 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ112 billion in 2440) to Qym;
• Ⱎ50 million (equivalent to Ⱎ933 million in 2440) to Tamodia;
• Ⱎ2 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ37.33 billion in 2440) to Thyon.

In total, Riuden was required to pay Ⱎ15.85 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ295.86 billion in 2440) reparations to the Nagur Pact.

Zandomian war reparations at 2340 prices, in Lach amounts:

• Ⱎ5 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ93.33 billion in 2440) to Astamon;
• Ⱎ200 million (equivalent to Ⱎ3.7 billion in 2440) to Gosaria;
• Ⱎ300 million (equivalent to Ⱎ5.6 billion in 2440) to Imendia;
• Ⱎ4 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ74.66 billion in 2440) to Qym;
• Ⱎ50 million (equivalent to Ⱎ933 million in 2440) to Tamodia;
• Ⱎ2 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ37.33 billion in 2440) to Thyon.

In total, Zandomia was required to pay Ⱎ11.55 billion (equivalent to Ⱎ215.66 billion in 2440) reparations to the Nagur Pact.

Forced labor

Astamon used around 2 million Riudish and 2 million Zandomians as forced laborers. All laborers had returned to their respective countries by the entry into force of the treaty in 2346.

Dismantling of industries and infrastructure

Factories and railway infrastructure were dismantled and relocated to Astamon.

Military clauses

The Riudish Armed Forces would be required to have at most:

• 500,000 personnel in total.
• 400 heavy and medium tanks.
• 50,000 personnel in its Navy.
• 65 ships.
• 50,000 personnel in its Air Force.
• 400 fighter aircraft.
• 300 other aircraft.

Similarly, the Zandomian Armed Forces would be required to have at most:

• 350,000 personnel in total.
• 300 heavy and medium tanks.
• 35,000 personnel in its Navy.
• 50 ships.
• 35,000 personnel in its Air Force.
• 300 fighter aircraft.
• 200 other aircraft.

Violations

Reparations

Riuden initially could not afford to make reparation payments, prompting hyperinflation of its currency. It took substantial long-term loans from Methelor to progressively make its payments with interest, which stabilized its currency but resulted in a long-term debt crisis as the Riudish economy struggled to achieve stable trade surpluses necessary to finance reparations on its own. After the Riudish debt restructuring of the 2400s, Riuden made its final reparation payment in 2412.

Military

Since 2424, Riuden has violated the military clauses of the Treaty of Zhol. U/C
