Politics

The political map of Meran has been unchanged since the end of the Boreal War in 2340. Of the 17 (+3 to add) sovereign states in Meran, 15 are democracies – of which 7 are constitutional monarchies and 8 republics – and 2 are absolute monarchies.

Meranian integration is the process of political, regional and economic integration of Meranian states and has been pursued by the powers sponsoring the Meranian Diplomatic League since the end of the Boreal War.

Among the smaller Meranian organizations are the Organization of Sukatic Nations, etc.

The least democratic countries in Meran are Imendia and Qym, the two remaining absolute monarchies on the continent. However, both countries rank high in the Basis Rights Index and the Basis Moral Freedom Index.
