Prelude and first years of the Boreal War (2329–2332)

• 2329: Holaria invades Tamodia, starting the Boreal War. Bacha XV makes a speech indicating total support as part of the Nagur Pact. Holaria only occupies the Holarian-speaking regions of Tamodia. A similar irredentist invasion occurs simultaneously in Chiyan, orchestrated by Prugundy.
• 2330: The war is at a standstill in Meran, whereas Riuden and Zandomia invade Astamon in Daroch. Qym sends an expedition force to help out, as well as a good chunk of its navy.
• 2331: Qym is reluctant to send more troops and material, while Holaria and Prugundy are reluctant to advance more, all countries vulnerable to other fronts. Astamon manages to resist the invasion due to its mountainous terrain and technological superiority.
• 2332: Bacha XV automatically abdicates the throne, per Qymish law.

Sixteenth Bachan era (2332–2372)

Lull of the Boreal War (2332–2334)

• 2332: Bacha XVI takes over and continues the war.
• 2333: Peace overtures begin, with informal contacts and reduced military actions. Qym secretly prepares military and industrial buildup.
• 2334: Establishment of the Basis Forum in order to facilitate diplomatic exchanges between the two warring sides. The small neutral country of Ranopa is chosen to host the talks.

Total Boreal War (2334–2340)

Main article: Boreal War

• 2334: Negotiations collapse due to mistrust after Qymish and Holarian buildups revealed.
• 2335: War intensifies with surprise attacks. War aims change on both sides.
• 2336: Total war begins with military industrial focus. Multiple fronts open. Qym fights on three fronts: against Holaria to the west, against Prugundy to the south, and in the NAME Ocean to provide support to Astamon in Daroch.
• 2337: Patsalys, Teurek and other Western Qymish cities are heavily bombarded. Difficult fight for air supremacy. The Nagur Pact is renewed. Qymish and Thyonese convoys sent to Astamon with military equipment are harassed by the Prugundian Navy.
• 2338: Holaria conquers Tamodia and pushes into Qym, invading the March of Rumyk. Beginning of the Battle of Teurek. The Prugundian Navy is mostly defeated at high sea and the Nagur Pact establish naval superiority, turning the tide in Daroch while simultaneously struggling at land and air in Meran.
• 2339: End of the Battle of Teurek, Qym pushes back with a counter-offensive. Liberates Tamodia and pushes into Holaria as well as Prugundy in the south.
• 2340: Qym and Thyon enter Lasund and defeat Holaria, who surrender. Prugundy surrenders after its defeat in the Battle of Dâmõpẽ, prompting Riuden and Zandomia to surrender soon after. The Occupation of Holaria and of Prugundy begin. Riuden and Zandomia are partially occupied but avoid a full occupation due to the lack of troops to effectively do so and start negotiating for peace separately.

Post-war reconstruction (2340–2350)

• 2340: Establishment of the Boreal Cooperation Council with its headquarters in Zhol. Reconstruction begins in Qym with the use of forced labor from occupied Holaria and Prugundy.
• 2341: The International Military Tribunal for Meran and the International Military Tribunal for Daroch are held by the Nagur Pact against leaders of the defeated Great Alliance for plotting and carrying out invasions of several countries across Meran and Daroch, and for committing atrocities against their citizens in the Boreal War. Establishment of the Gold Exchange Treaty System and the Basis Development Bank for monetary stability and post-war reconstruction, with its headquarters in Wamping, Methelor. Death of Bacha XV and state funerals held in Zhol.
• 2342: Qym joins the Meranian Diplomatic League.
• 2343: Establishment of the International Trade Federation and the Organization of Sukatic Nations with their headquarters in Zhol. The Treaty of Zhol is signed, formally ending the Boreal War with Riuden and Zandomia.
• 2344: Signature of the Patsalys Protocols prohibiting the development, production, and stockpiling of chemical and biological weapons. Entry into force of the Treaty of Zhol.
• 2345: End of rationing and the war economy. Full recovery declared by King Bacha XVI.
• 2346: Start of the secret Qymish nuclear weapons program.
• 2347: Nagur Pact is renewed. The Suppression of Transhumanism Act comes into force.
• 2348: The Treaty of Podrika is signed, formally ending the Boreal War with Prugundy.
• 2349: Entry into force of the Patsalys Protocols. The Treaty of Polamdi is signed, formally ending the Boreal War with Holaria. Entry into force of the Treaty of Podrika, ending the Occupation of Prugundy.
• 2350: Qym imposes sanctions against Geno due to its chemical and biological weapon programs and continuous human rights violations. Entry into force of the Treaty of Polamdi, ending the Occupation of Holaria. Qym hosts the BFF World Cup.

Austral War and the Atomic Age (2350–2360)

• 2350: Qym ups the diplomatic pressure against Geno and tries to gain support for a Basis Forum-sanctioned military intervention.
• 2351: A Basis Forum vote on military intervention in Geno is narrowly defeated and does not obtain the 2/3 majority needed, damaging Qymish credibility.
• 2352: Qym prepares for an invasion anyway, as a show of force, and informs its Nagur Pact allies to join in.
• 2353: Qymish invasion of Geno; start of the Austral War. King Bacha XVI makes grandiose speeches for humanity against transhumanism and Anist religious barbarity. Many Anist countries in Visala and Pahari protest the Nagur Pact's invasion at the Basis Forum as a war of aggression. Methelor calls for a diplomatic approach while respecting principles of territorial integrity.
• 2354: Astamon has its first nuclear test, NAME, beating Qym in becoming the first country on Basis with nuclear weapons. King Bacha XVI is privately furious but publicly congratulates Astamon on its "scientific achievement". Qym launches the Detour Offensive through ANIST COUNTRY, violating that country's territorial integrity, and commits the NAME massacre against Anist populations in that country and in Geno. Genonian troops also commit numerous war crimes against Nagur Pact troops.
• 2355: Methelor intervenes along with its ally Wishumba, forming the Holy Axis as a temporary Anist alliance with Geno.
• 2356: Qym has its first nuclear test, Gurnaz, in LOCATION OF TEST. Emboldened, King Bacha XVI makes nuclear threats against Methelor and Wishumba for joining the war on Geno's side. Astamon declares a policy of no first use, humiliating Bacha XVI and causing a strife with its ally.
• 2357: The Nagur Pact is renewed. The Holy Axis calls Bacha's bluff and ignores the nuclear threats, pushing on.
• 2358: Qym re-introduces conscription, sending more troops and equipment. The NAME massacre occurs, perpetrated by Qymish forces. Images of the war reach mass media in Qym. Beginning of the anti-war movement.
• 2359: Under pressure, Bacha XVI considers actually nuking Geno, Methelor and Wishumba, telling the Qymish Armed Forces to make plans to do so. Internal conflict between Astamon and Qym over the war and nuclear threats. Astamon threatens to withdraw from the Nagur Pact.
• 2360: Methelor has its first nuclear test. The warring parties hold diplomatic talks at the Basis Forum to avoid nuclear war.

Counterculture (2360–2372)

• 2360: Anti-war protests intensify in Qym against conscription and the prospect of nuclear war.
• 2361: Astamon begins gradual withdrawal of troops.
• 2362: Thyon begins gradual withdrawal of troops.
• 2363: Astamon fully withdraws from the war. Thyon has its first nuclear weapon test, NAME.
• 2364: The war enters a stalemate and is getting very costly for Qym. Behind the scene tension between Qym and Thyon, as a country with nuclear weapons now directly borders Qym.
• 2365: Geno launches the Divan Offensive, regaining control of strategic points in its territory.
• 2366: Qym begins gradual withdrawal of troops.
• 2367: Theomedil Peace Accords; full withdrawal of Qymish troops and end of the Austral War. Expiry of the Nagur Pact and of the Holy Axis.
• 2368: To ease domestic pressure against the royal family, Bacha XVI establishes a royal commission to investigate war crimes perpetrated by Qymish troops during the Austral War. Protests persist against the royal family and lack of accountability for the failure of the Austral War.
• 2369: Growth in support for republicanism in Qym after the Qymish Republican Front is formed.
• 2370: The Qymish student riots of 2370 occur in various Qymish universities, resulting in student deaths and mass arrests.
• 2371: Bacha XVI makes the famous 'change is coming' speech in a television address to the country.
• 2372: Publication of the Royal War Crimes Commission's report on war crimes committed by Qym during the Austral War and 12 Qymish military leaders are subsequently court-martialed and imprisoned. Bacha XVI is seldom seen in his final year in power before he automatically abdicates the throne on his 75th birthday.

Seventeenth Bachan era (2372–2409)

Social reforms and Rumykian conflict (2372–2385)

• 2372: Bacha XVII is crowned King. He removes the obligation of a wife to obey her husband, and also removes discriminatory provisions resulting from matrimonial regimes and from other legal regulations. Qym and Thyon sign the Qymo–Thyonese Treaty of Friendship and Cooperation, re-establishing a defense pact and military alliance between the two countries.
• 2373: Wishumba has its first nuclear test, NAME, prompting fears of nuclear proliferation in Astamon, Thyon and Qym. In response, Qym tests the NAME BOMB, the largest nuclear weapon ever detonated with a yield of 50 Mt. The Treaty of Yumabil on Nuclear Proliferation is signed later that year, easing nuclear tension. Riuden notably does not sign the treaty but most countries on Basis do, including Geno. Abandonment of the Gold Exchange Treaty System by Methelor, forcing the Qymish lach to become a floating fiat currency.
• 2374: Rise of Rumykian nationalism in the March of Rumyk and neighboring Tamodia.
• 2375: Bacha XVII signs the Decree on Parental Authority, giving married women equal rights with husbands with regard to legal authority over their children during marriage. Restoration of formal diplomatic relations with Methelor and Wishumba through the re-opening of embassies.
• 2376: Geno hijacks six Vajdila-made airliners and takes over 1,000 people on board as hostage. The hostages are later released but the aircraft remain in Geno who reverse engineers them as part of the development of its own Azmin airliners.
• 2377: Rumykians demand a consolidation of their divided territory and set regular barricades on the main bridges between Teurek and Qomich (Tamodia), clashing daily with the Qymish Border Service and the Royal Police. The death of several unarmed protestors by the Royal Police results in riots in Teurek, as well as the foundation of various paramilitary groups. Beginning of the Rumykian conflict. Two policemen are murdered by the RFF, the main Rumykian nationalist paramilitary group.
• 2378: Loyalist paramilitary groups of right-wing inclinations retaliate against the murder of policemen, assassinating RFF figures and other Rumykian civilians. The RFF accuses the Qymish Security Force of complicity in the murders and starts a bombing campaign against the Government of Qym and its institutions. Bacha XVII asks for calm and the rule of law, threatening to send the military to quell the unrest.
• 2379: The RFF successfully bombs a Royal Police station in Teurek, resulting in 45 dead policemen and civilians. Bacha XVII announces a state of emergency and sends troops to protect government buildings in the March of Rumyk, offering amnesty to paramilitary groups if they stop the violence and disarm. Death of Bacha XVI and state funerals held in Zhol with heightened security.
• 2380: The RFF declares a ceasefire and a willingness to disarm if the Rumykian territories are united as one. In a gesture of good will for future negotiations, Bacha XVII personally visits Teurek to enforce the ceasefire. However, sectarian killings continue and internal feuds erupt between rival paramilitary groups.
• 2381: Concept of family patrimony introduced in Qymish law, ensuring financial equality between spouses when a marriage ends. Beginning of the Peaceful Rumyk movement, advocating for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and Rumykian national aspirations.
• 2382: Oil shock of 2382 occurs, prompting a global recession and rise in unemployment. The oil shock leads to the deregulation of foreign exchange market and the development of Oversea sengs, which are are Methelorian sengs held in time deposit accounts in banks outside of Methelor, facilitating global trade. Interest rates are raised to mitigate the inflation.
• 2383: General strike of 2383 due to wage stagnation and high inflation, resulting in real wage decline. Bombing of the Polamdi Cafe in Zhol kills 13 and is claimed by the Rumykian Democratic Army (RDA).
• 2384: Inflation momentarily goes beyond 15% prompting the Royal Bank of Qym to urgently address the stagflation situation. Advocated by lead economist Zlatyr Remuz, supply-side economics become popular, modeled after policies recently implemented in Methelor to fight the crisis. Bacha XVII appoints Remuz as the Royal Bank's governor, leaving him in charge of monetary policy. While Remuz personally favors privatization over price controls, he implements the latter under Bacha XVII's guidance, as the House of Zhifol does not want to privatize its many crown corporations, since it would be seen as an admission of managerial incompetence and likely lead to a rise in unemployment.
• 2385: Bacha XVII signs the Equal Pay Act, giving equal pay for women who did the same work as men.

Economic liberalism (2385–2400)

• 2385: Qym signs its first free trade agreements with Gosaria and Imendia. Government taxation is reduced considerably while inflation remains slightly over 10%.
• 2386: Beginning of austerity measures and tightening of government budgets to avoid deficits. A targeted car bomb kills the Royal Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs and member of the House of Zhifol, Lord Emeryk ish Zhifol, in Balc as well as 3 other civilians and is claimed by the RDA.
• 2387: Inauguration of the Zhol–Nagur high-speed railway. Qym signs a free trade agreement with Afarut and Nykal.
• 2388: Lifting of government price controls and foreign exchange controls. Qym signs a free trade agreement with Tamodia.
• 2389: Resumption of economic growth. Recovery in employment and decline in unemployment. Qymish Security Service forces capture Tanvil Zhaval, the suspected leader of the RDA.
• 2390: Oil prices return to pre-shock levels. Inflation is at 2.5%.
• 2391: Liberalization of financial markets: fixed commissions are replaced by variable remuneration; the distinction established between stock wholesalers and brokers is abolished; foreign firms can easily gain a foothold in the Zhol Stock Exchange; the financial center now operates continuously.
• 2392: Lifting of some immigration restrictions.
• 2393: Qym signs a free trade agreement with Thyon.
• 2394: University of Nagur massacre makes 17 dead, mostly women.
• 2395: Qym signs a free trade agreement with Chiyan.
• 2396: Qym signs a free trade agreement with Prugundy.
• 2397: Bacha XVII makes a state visit to Astamon, the first by a ruling King of Qym to Daroch, and signs a bilateral free trade agreement.
• 2398: Qym signs a free trade agreement with Bermiza, Kolucherry, Mandine and Ranopa.
• 2399: Qym signs a free trade agreement with Holaria, Jamasko, Levina and Vuhand.
• 2400: Inauguration of the Zhol–Patsalys high-speed railway.

Digital revolution (2400–2409)

• 2400: Bacha XVII makes a state visit to Methelor, the first by a ruling King of Qym to Visala. He formally apologizes to a Wamping audience for the war crimes committed by Qym during the Austral War. A few days later, he makes a state visit to Wishumba, the first by a ruling King of Qym to Pahari.
• 2401: Darnak University massacre in Zhol makes 9 dead, targeting international students.
• 2402: Bacha XVII signs the Treaty for the Prohibition of Nuclear Tests.
• 2403: Desecration of 43 Anist graves in Zhol.
• 2404: The Qymish Firearms Control Act of 2403 is enacted, notably requiring all firearms to be registered.
• 2405: 2405 Nagur riots targeting mainly Darochian immigrants.
• 2406: Mass arrest of Rumykian Democratic Army members by the Qymish Security Service.
• 2407: The International Conference for a Resolution to the Conflict in Rumyk is held in Teurek between the Peaceful Rumyk group and the governments of Qym and Tamodia. The conference results in the RDA announcing the dissolution of the group and cessation of their armed struggle. End of the Rumykian conflict.
• 2408: Wedding of Prince Zhovan and Qümica Makev on DAY MONTH. Anti-capitalist and republican protests are held in various cities, leading to clash with the Royal Police and monarchist counter-protestors.
• 2409: Inauguration of the Zhol–Byvichek high-speed railway. Automatic abdication of King Bacha XVII after 37 years on the throne. He becomes the first King of Qym to have been at peace for the entirety of his reign.

• 2438: Ryzum, a technological crown corporation, launches the stable release version of Erzhy, an open-source chatbot.
• 2439: The Qymish Online Safety Act is amended to include AI provisions, including mandatory labeling of generative AI content and metadata sourcing of AI-generated text, images, audio, video, and virtual scenes. It also requires social media and other platforms to detect or infer AI-generated material and add consumer disclosures.

Nineteenth Bachan era (2440–2441)

Twentieth Bachan era (2441–2443)

• 2441: Enthronement of Prince Lazmyq and coronation as Bacha XX on DAY MONTH. Announcement of a royal commission to investigate the succession crisis. Bacha XX promises amnesty for Republican protestors and those arrested following the storming of the Palace of Zhol if they help with the investigation and testify. Several conspiracy theories spawn online over the role of members of the royal family and the Qymish Republican Front in the assassinations. Liberation of Prince Farem and Zaja Miroq during a Qymish Security Service special operation.
• 2442: Enactment of the controversial Qymish National Security Act, prompting accusations of techno-authoritarianism. Capture and imprisonment of Mikis Zhavjõ, leader of the Qymish Republican Front, who claims on live television he is being set up by the royal family.
• 2443: Bacha XX automatically abdicates the throne upon turning 75.

Qodzarian era (since 2443)

• 2443: Enthronement of Prince Qodzar and coronation as Qodzar on DAY MONTH. Publication of the royal commission's report on the succession crisis, which notably blames the Qymish Republican Front and its leader, Mikis Zhavjõ, for the assassination of King Bacha XIX and Queen Mabel. The royal commission does not managed to identify credible suspects for the assassination of Mirmo ish Zhifol based on the gathered evidence. According to polling firm Eshum, a majority of Qymish people do not believe the official version of events laid out by the royal commission. Around 80% believe Bacha XIX had his brother killed and was behind the attempted assassination of Prince Qodzar. Meanwhile, a lower majority of 55% believe Qodzar orchestrated the assassination of King Bacha XIX and Queen Mabel to liberate his father from prison, avenge his cousin, get revenge for the assassination attempt on himself, and clear a path to his own enthronement after his father's short reign.
